Looking for an activity that practices matching upper and lowercase letters of the alphabet but has an added fine motor skill workout as a bonus? Thought so! Which is why we created one for you! Learning and memorizing the alphabet can be a long process for your child. I mean, you’ve got 26 letters in both upper and lowercase so that’s a total of 52 letters! After going through the flashcards, and the worksheets, and the alphabet song numerous times, we found that we needed something new and fresh to strike up that yearn to learn. This Alphabet Matching Wheel was made for that purpose. It’s a colorful wheel that allows a hands on experience in matching the letters. If you pair it with pegs then you’ve got a fine motor exercise as well!
If you were one of the lucky ones that were able to grab the alphabet pegs that the Target dollar spot had for a sweet moment, this Alphabet wheel compliments that perfectly. It is color coordinated similarly so that it can be used together. But if you do not have them, we’ve got your back! In the printable, there are letter pieces that you can glue onto pegs yourself, or you can just simply match the pieces as is. You can get this activity here!
