Fall is in the air and it is bringing on that perfect crispy weather that makes you want to put on something soft and cozy and get outside! Our family has been spending a lot of time outdoors lately just breathing it all in. We have a ton of wildlife around our home and we have been seeing all the squirrels, deer, and other forest animals coming out and doing the same thing. It is also the most perfect time of year for a little nature scavenger hunt. Our kids always love exploring around the house, observing things on the ground, and collecting bits of nature such as acorns, leaves, and sticks. And of course everything they collect always gets turned into the most delicious pretend food.
We’ve been using our Nature Scavenger Hunt printable on our outdoor excursions and nature walks and the kids love using this as a guide. This is also a great family activity if you go on walks together. You can look for the items on the scavenger hunt list together and have a conversation about them. Ask what they look like, sound like, feel like, etc. Or turn it into a game and see who can spot the most things on the list. Hope you enjoy this simple outdoor activity with your family!
Happy Hunting!
xoxo
